CAR PARKING - A SIMPLE SOLUTION

TO AVOID ARGUMENTS VISITOR SPACES NEED TO BE MARKED

“Visitor” spaces are those spaces not allocated to a particular residence.

And then………………….

Residents should agree to park their first, or only, car in the space allocated in their deeds.

Residents with more than one car should be allowed to park their additional vehicle/s in ANY available “visitor” space in ANY car park. Provided that the resident’s first - or only - car is parked in their allocated space.

Visitors should be allowed to park in ANY available visitor space in ANY car park.
In the unlikely event that no space is available to accommodate a visitor, residents using “visitor” spaces should agree to vacate them to make space for visitor/s vehicle/s.

TOLERANCE AND UNDERSTANDING
When leases were drafted some car parks were badly divided.
Parking spaces allocated to some dwellings are awkward to use so some residents find it more convenient to use “visitor” spaces.

Most residents are intelligent, understanding, sympathetic and more than generously tolerant.
They understand why some residents find it more convenient to use a visitor space instead of their allocated space.
Tolerant residents even understand why some “older” residents who have bought themselves a little retirement flat may have difficulty climbing steps to access their allocated space and prefer to use visitor spaces in another car park.

But civilised residents become less tolerant when those who use visitor spaces for convenience claim exclusive ownership of the spaces and demonstrate their arrogance by threatening other residents and ORDERING them to move their cars FROM VISITOR SPACES to accommodate them - even when there are numerous spaces available - INCLUDING THEIR OWN ALLOCATED SPACES.

Only in Kingsley Green would this arrogance be tolerated
Because
most residents are normal, civilised, decent and incredibly understanding.
If this behaviour occurred elsewhere the screamers and ruffians would probably be carted off to a police station - or a looney bin.

NOBODY HAS A RIGHT TO CLAIM EXCLUSIVE OWNERSHIP OF VISITOR SPACES
They are available to everybody and must remain accessible to everybody if vacant.
